An Analysis of the Images in Hayao Miyazaki’s Movies from the Perspective of Cognitive Metaphor

Hayao Miyazaki’s (born on January 5, 1941 in Tokyo), is a Japanese animator, animation producer, cartoonist, director, and screenwriter. His movies have lasting impact. Based the conceptual metaphor theory of cognitive linguistics, this study analyzes multi-modal metaphors his animated to explore needs behind creation find out how these are generated. This paper uses method qualitative analysis comprehensively images, aiming answer two questions: 1) What movies? 2) creative motivations do reflect
